Considering the heads are a lot hotter than the oil. Also, the moisture will does not have to get to 212 to "boil" out. But, an example would be my commute to work. It takes me about 5 miles to get to the freeway, but even before that, I am going 45-55 mph (about 25 the first mile getting out to the main road). It is then about 9 miles on the freeway going 60-70 mph. So a lot of strong circulation of the oil and rpms of 3k plus. Today the ambient temp was in the high 30's and the oil only got to about 180, but the few stop lights on the last stretch had the urban fan going. So lots of opportunity!. I have never seen any moisture in my oil when I change it. .

A tank that breathes without slobbering all over itself. This also reduced the camchest pressure or it was the rerouting of the crankcase breather into a rather straight and ascending line to the oil tank.

Because of running an oil cooler I am using 4 quarts of oil in the tank, plus whatever the filter holds.

I am the crash test dummy for this tank and after the next series of storms passes I will get the M3W out for a 100 mile trip.

Looks neat! And I guess it will work really nice.

Stephen, looking forward to hearing what Emil and yourself find in your tests. Also looking forward to a description of everything he has included in this tank as it looks as if there are a number of improvements included.

From what is visible from the outside , which is nothing magic except a good design, especially the sight glass. The breather cap is removable for cleaning if you want to do so, it is a standard breather cap for hotrods.

I will post photos of the interior baffle asap if it is not on his website.





This is the inside of my tank.

He will make the tank for European spec where the sightglass should be on the other end.

I am figuring the two hoses on the sight glass side are the return and vent, whilst the one off the gauge is the "to engine" hose. Is that a temp monitor there?

The two top right are engine oil return and engine breather is the clear one. Lower right is the tank oil temp sending unit, and to the left of it is the intank heating element, which is not plugged in on this photo.

so then what is the black boxy thing and gauge on the left?

Do you mean on the opposite end of the tank? That is a fuel pressure regulator.

If you see something on the left of the sightglass then I suggest using something other than a phone to look at the picture. There is nothing to the left of the glass other than silver tank and air. Uner the tank are the relays for the fan control and the bevel box pump timer.
