Can someone please tell me the correct size nut that fits on the shock absorber mount on the stub axle of a ‘66 plus 4? I measured, checked thread gauge, ordered nuts, must have gotten something wrong.
Thanks

Happy to be corrected but they use ⅜" UNF nylock nut for lower shock mount on latest trads. As this is an imperial size I imagine historically its been the same for many years. Do not overtighten to allow the poly or rubber inserts in shock eyes to work.

Much appreciated! One of my spindles had the correct nut. The other did not and the threads were a bit messed up. Not too bad though, easily fixed by running down the correct nut. But that leaves me with one used nyloc for two shock mounts.
Now I have some fresh 3/8 BSF nylocs on the way!
Cheers,
N
