My current 2009 4/4 Sport includes Green card, unlimited annual mileage and spouse driving at £236. When I last insured a 1994 +8 four years ago under the same conditions as the sport it was £260. I am also 50 going on 60. Try giving Headley a call on 01420 5942342 they are Morgan Insurance Consultants and play with agreed values etc.
Good Luck

John---Exactly! My problem is when he is in sight of me its restrained driving personified ;)BUT when he is around the corner and out of sight I can visualise the rev counter jumping out of the dashboard as he floors the accelarator Never again!!! Also sometimes even I find it hard to resist the challenges and goading that comes from other drivers so its anyones guess how a 22 year old with his girl friend sat beside him and 230 bhp under the bonnet would react? Not worth the risk!

Well,to put this in perspective, my French insurers take 460 euro,s witt just me driving less than 5000 a year and they were the cheapest we could find. If anyone knows better please let me know. Meabh.

In the end I went with Admiral for both my BMW (30K)and roadster(35K) fully comprehensive (2 x car policy) is £690. Admiral for me too - with their multicar policy (3 cars). Only people who were remotely competitive - and even then it's exceedingly painful

Thank you all for your replies. I'll check with Gott & Wynn, Headley, Churchill, Admiral and of course my favorite Munich Re. At least they care for their staff!

I recently had Gott & Wynne, Headley (the Morgan recommended) and another company quote for my classic Morgan.
Gott & Wynne were 30% less expensive, for the same cover, than both the other options. Headley, again, made me question why they are recommended by MMC.

Don't talk to me about insurance! Was lucky to get insured at all the the Aeromax - apparrently I'm too young to have one according to their models. I now pay 4x the cost to insure my s4, for 1/2 the miles, no commuting or track cover and with the cost of running a tracker system also. All for the same car in a party frock! Complete rip off, or Aeromax drivers are a lot more careless than S4 drivers...

Rich, You might have a certain Top Gear presenter to thank for that. I've just renewed with Headleys tried to get a quote from G&W but they didn't get back to me through the website and I simply forgot until it was too late. I was trying to get a combined aero M3W policy but until the cars available it seems impossible. On the subject of insurance junior starts learning to drive next week in the same car as his sister. Her insurance £1500 his insurance £3700. Strange as it is he's found a nice 1972 VW Beatle insurance for him about £1400, both cars having similar value. You can guess what he wants to me to buy now.
