Dave, did you keep with the sticky tape for your clock.
I have found that the tape I have, which has successfully held rubber trim etc, fails when the car gets hot , whilst parked. My carefully aligned (black faced, black surround) clock now sits 5 or 6 mm lower than its optimal spot having slipped on the tape.
Is there a secret? before I get the drill out

So far it's stayed put, but hasn't been in direct sun. The tape I used is from Halfords with a green backing. It's black tape, and wide, but quite thin. When I use it on the rally Plaque holder it lasts easily over two days and takes some shifting. I also use it behind my leather fripparies, and nothing has dropped off yet, so I'm optimistic.

Cheers Dave, I'll check out halfords before I fire up the black and decker If you really want it to stick, bathroom mirror tape will do the trick; however, be warned, once stuck down, it tends to stay in place. I use it for my registration plates and they have been known to crack before I can get them unstuck from the car. A small piece would do the trick but as I'd only use it as a last resort before the drill.

Chuffed to bits with my Chronos clock ... until it stopped working . Bought some new batteries, fitted the replacement (fiddly - but easy) - same result. The seller couldn't have been more obliging - sent a replacement clock by return of post ... which has now also stopped Has anyone else had this problem? I'm so glad I didn't drill the dash to fit the mount (or even worse - cut a hole!). At least if I can't get one that keeps working long term, I've not ruined the dash.

Yup , the first one stopped after 3 days, the promised replacement arrived 10 days later after email and telephone reminders.
