I used to love engines that revved sweetly. and that had to be kept "on the boil", but those days are gone...
Those days still exist in this house. Sounds like an advert for a 1.6 Sigma engined 4/4. Yep, that's why I like mine so much. Who doesn't love the wail of a 4 being ragged at 7k rpm?

No problem PiGo. Not sure if this has been discussed but MMC usually use a custom version of fimware in engine suppliers PCM (ECU) and then have production versions locked down as supplied by MBE. If this is not the case then tuning would seemingly be very easy.
Regarding transmission chain, still a little suspicious why the manual Plus Four has engine mapping that significantly reduces torque compared with auto version. It was my understanding that all cars supplied new now have to have the ECU locked to prevent this sort of change under EU regulations.
