I just happened to be diving in the fridge for a snack yesterday evening and randomly decided to have a count of the cheeses and to my amazement it was eight, now we don't live high on the hock by any means.

I wonder if this is an average number ?

Normally some blue cheese, strong cheddar, mozzarella, Parmesan & cottage cheese as a minimum.

Brie, Parmesan, Halloumi, Feta, Cheddar. All organic. Usually have some blue around too, but not currently.

We often have 2 different Cheddars, and also a Red Fox, a Wensleydale, and often a Stilton or other blue cheese.

Always Stilton, Jarlsberg and a Parmesan wedge. Today there is Emmental there as well.

Great responses men thank you, TBM had me googling again that's a new one on me.

Currently we have Smoky Cheddar, Smoky Cheddar with Paprika, Camembert, Mature Cheddar, Red Leicester, Cottage, Stilton, St Agur.

We don't eat a lot of meat these days and fish and cheeses are at the forefront of the fridge, I don't feel quite so greedy now so thanks.

Funny you should ask that Rich!
Jut been out for a walk around Wnchcombe/Suddeley with lady friend and on hunting for a takeaway cuppa once back in the village came upon an open deli.
Good tea/cake and a rather nice deli counter. So, when I left home this morning there were two different cheddars, brie, some cream cheese or other (good on crispbread instead of butter then put real cheese on top! Or salami, or... smile ) and Stilton. So 5 in total. But I cant resist a deli counter, so add two more - a Bavarian blue and a goat's cheese. (Add a pork and black pudding pie, too, but you didn't ask about those! grin2 ). (https://www.cotswoldpuddingandpie.co.uk/)
Sally suggested it would last a good while in the fridge - silly girl - cheese doesn't last long in this house! eat laugh2
