Great picky but to put things in some context the jaguar i pace at 65k can only tow 750kg a micro caravan or a Halfords trailer with under 100mile range.. Em

Near to my home in East Devon is a large farm shop, Darts Farm. It has 4 Tesla charging points. However it is also just 2 or 3 miles from Exeter Services, on the M5. Most days, there is a near constant queue of Tesla cars waiting to recharge. I imagine they have been directed there, having found no chargers free at the Services. Very few show local registration plates.
Sounds like a great business opportunity for enterprising local farmers looking to broaden their income stream.

R.O.I. on a commercial charging station takes a long time and like the profit from fuel sales a garage will only make a small margin. The profit comes from the shops / coffee. We may well find that charging times will always be slower than fuel so everyone can make a living not just the car manufacturers and energy companies.

years ago I converted my old Land Rover S2A to lpg. Predominantly to save money, but the low emissions were a bonus.
However, due to the lack of infrastructure, on many journeys I ended up doing huge detours to try and find an lpg station so any savings were often negated......

Quite a few Mogs were converted to LPG in America for some reason but it never really took off in the Uk I worked for Flo gas for a couple of years and there was a big push around 2000s personally if you could have filled up your own gas bottles at the pump it would have made it more viable but the big companies wouldn't have any of it. We ran vauxhalls and they started having valve issues at around 80k slowly the pumps were taken out. You can still fill your gas bottle but only if it is unbranded and you own it outright . Em

Quite a few Mogs were converted to LPG in America for some reason Em It was the only way to get them through the emissions regs! My previous Saab had an LPG conversion already fitted when I bought it. Probably should have kept it, but I fairly quickly started to find why it had been traded in...

I must admit I have seen some horror stories, people taking a tapping from their central heating tank to the car or inverting the large 47kg bottles . The most common with transit vans was a few fork lift gas bottles laying on their sides as the dip tube suited the application. Em
