Thanks everyone for your thoughts, much apprecaited. I have decided to wait for a series 4 to come on the market as I think this will fit me best. I know they are as rare as hens teeth, but I will play the waiting game.

Heff, you may have tried this already, I put a "Wanted" ad in various places. Cars & Classics was one and my S4 came from this. It was this time of the year too, possibly good for anyone thinking about selling but just not got around to it.
Good luck

Hi Shaun and welcome I came from Lotus (Series 1 Elise,111S) to a Morgan Aero 8 ,series 1 (complete with squint eyes!). My S1 - ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2017/11/08/2017-11-08-11.35.43.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2017/11/08/2017-11-08-11.35.08.jpg) No regrets from me (or my wife who found the Elise too track focussed). You will get different opinions ,but personally, I like the S1 'original' look complete with 'gangster' roof, centre lock wheels and lower boot lid. After the S1, the cockpit was widened slightly and the boot lid was raised (a la whale tail) together with other revisions. You can search TM for a 'buyers guide' which is very informative and useful. My advice is to get a car with a few miles and regular use on it rather than a 'garage queen' as they don't like sitting around unused. Any other queries, fire away - there are several S1 owners on the forum who will be happy to help.... James Interesting that a number of us have had Lotus backgrounds ... I have had a 111S, a 111R and a 340R. All great cars, but the Aero S1 has been the best experience and like others, likely to be kept until infirmity stops me getting in and out!!! Hopefully a wee while to go yet! Respect Ian the 340R is proper hardcore - did you have the heated jacket and trousers? James

RTCC did the new centrelock nuts for me. Not sure who they got to make them but they were around £400 for the set.

Heff, this is a good site to find an S4, I bought Dean's S4 last week so you were a little unlucky timing wise . All the previous owners are on TM. Have only covered 300 miles so early days for comparison's to my S1 which I sold 9 years ago. Most obvious benefit is the wider cabin by 6", larger boot and mine like I believe a lot of he S4's has the auto box which may suit the nature of the larger engine....my first choice was a manual but given the rarity of these went for it as previously had a 5.5 V8 SLK AMG55 Auto for nearly 3 years. Good Luck...and patient!
