A 4/4 on snow is great.
Hardly any grip but great fun. Even with a 20bhp engine drifting might be no problem! 😀

Great stuff Hannes, I'm jealous we hardly ever get snow in South Devon but when we do I'm out in the Morgan enjoying it.

The beast from the East got me in Feb 2018 when AW fitted a new hood.

Totally agree! Huge fun in the snow in my 1.8 Zetec 4/4.
Also, with the hood down, you get interesting reactions from other motorists.

A little fresh today' but roof down to get some petrol and a quick tootle around getting the car ready for my Monday trip across to Mat at Lifes to get the Kingpins rebuild and reaction bars fitted. Not my favourite task getting petrol as its painfully slow to fill the tank whilst trying to avoid the petrol splashing back as the pump hardly goes into the neck of the tank. could have been better designed.

I did get a few strange looks roof down dressed in multiple layers to keep warm......

regards

Try swivelling the little trapdoor so the hinge is 6 o'clock or 12 o'clock.

Then next time you have the spare off, check the filler hose breather pipe for kinks.

It should fill easily.

Hannes I am envy with envy. The snow has brought out a battalion of salt spreaders around here so I'm afraid white Mog will remain in the garage for the time being. Sometimes I take the Pug out to play in the snow and it is hugely entertaining.

I'll have a look at that many thanks and see what happens, but at the moment the nozzle barely enters the neck of the filler, no matter what angle I try.......

That is very odd John the nozzle should go all the way in, it sounds like the hose has collapsed , take the spare off & have a look.
My Brooklands fills easy enough to 3/4 then if you take your time it takes another 4-5 l.
Even with the 6 o'clock trick it doesn't help and the vent pipe looks fine.

Anyway back to the thread. I adjusted the brakes this morning to alter the pedal position. So a test drive was needed despite the cold air but lucky the snow was gone.
