Well what a weekend, Wales Italy tomorrow not really bothered to be honest but George standing in for Lewis a top six in practice and maybe a podium would be fantastic I wish him well he deserves it. And then WRC I really hope Elfyn can keep it together he has the speed and it must be his turn for a bit of luck everything crossed. Em

A good chance for George Russell to pick up his first points in F1.

I've got a feeling that Italy will turn Wales over tomorrow.
Wales have got a better team but are seriously down on confidence.

Not really fussed! As an Exeter Chiefs season ticket holder, I just hope that none of our players involved get injured. Bud 4/4 - Stanley

Well as all the non Lewis fans have said for the last 7 years on here "it's the car not the drivers skill" anything less than first place will just not be good enough for young Russell he won't ever get a better chance to showcase his talents and I just hope the situation doesn't overwhelm him. Were he to win I'll pledge another £100 to the Salvation Army this Christmas. I wish him luck, one thing for sure Bottas has really got to get out of the pram for this race, Mercedes Expects The rugby is all but over already, I do wish Wales a good game as it was sad watching the last one. The best news of the week was that the young Frenchman was out of hospital and greeting his team mates and thanking the F1 medics for their rapid response at the track side.

Rugby wise, I have found the whole Autumn Cup thing boring, scrums taking an eternity very little open play just forwards slowly trundling around. I have no problem with teams playing to win, thats what they are paid to do and what the record books will show but I like many other fans (as the viewing figures show) will not be bothering. The rule makers need to look very hard at themselves, many "knowledgeable" types including the likes of Matt Dawson and Clive Woodward agree, they are killing the game. I'm not a season ticket holder anywhere, I go to the odd game and watch from the armchair, I used to play wing or FB (badly). I don't want to see scrums and line outs removed from the game but every time there is a scrum now between two competitive teams its a great opportunity to go and put the kettle on as nothing is going to happen for a while and when it does unless, a quality team is playing Georgia or Italy, the chances of some open field play that could actually excite is ridiculously low. I doff my hat to Wales, at least against England they did try to move the ball around late in the game. F1. Its great to see Russell getting a chance in a competitive car, I have no expectations of a podium from him but it is a chance for him to see what life in a fast car would be like, a point earning position would be a great drive from a guy with two practice drives today, one tomorrow before qualifying and race day, a performance close to Bottas would be magnificent. Hopefully Sergio Perez will out pace "daddies boy" again and Norris will continue his quiet move up the rankings, he'll do well with Ricciardo next year.

Unless F1 cars are far more similar to each other than expected, then to be able to step into a strange car on a strange track after a handful of practice laps and podium would be some achievement. Good luck to him. I've forgiven him for his interview statement that 'in F1 you have the 20 best drivers in the world' ..... not even close K

I have wondered why Lewis always thanks the team for the car. Now we know. The Mercedes is the best F1 car and with an above average driver it is capable of a stellar performance. Put Bottas in a Williams and see what happens...
