What are your plans for your new 3W?
Will it be your daily driver? Will it be your only car? Will you drive it only on weekends? Only in fair weather? Only in summer? Will it be hidden away as a future (investment) collectible? How many miles/year do you plan to drive it? Would you take it on a long trip? If so, how far?

Do you know Steve, I was having exactly the same thought on Monday as I drove my wife around Berkshire in the Morgan on a cold summer's evening. "Would I be doing this in a M3W?". "Would my wife like to travel in a M3W, especially at this time of night?"

What are your plans for your new 3W?if it gets delivered in time, first big trip is Brussels-Nürburgring on the "KAR-FREITAG": biggest auto-fest I've ever seen, on friday before Eastern, up/around the Nürburgring, we would go "dressed in a funny way" Will it be your daily driver? my daily=KONE elevator, but I'll take it for sure to business-meetings when the weather complies Will it be your only car? it isn't a car, but no, a few coupés and a Citroën Pluriel will accompagn it, only 2 doors in the family (luckily also a Multivan at the office) Will you drive it only on weekends? whenever I feel for a drive in dry weather, also for shopping/lunch/afternoon-tea rides in to Brussels Will it be hidden away as a future (investment) collectible? ditch it for MK.II as soon as the rumours start up for it How many miles/year do you plan to drive it? errr, without roadtrip= 3000KM Would you take it on a long trip? If so, how far? first year NOT, got to be reliable first , but then NORWAY is on the whish-list, certainly not to HOT areas edit: really want to make a mountainbike-holder to put on the 3whlr, combining my biggest passion=riding and driving

Plans, good question.
In Australia the first thing we're planning on is a long wait for the 3 wheeler,
It'll be used pretty much like my current 3 wheeler except it will go a lot quicker, a real lot actually.
It won't be a daily driver. Will get used 3-4 times a week. Weekend jaunts and to work on Friday for the traditional Aussie early finish on Poets Day (Piss Off Early Tomorrows Saturday).
It'll be one of half a dozen cars. Couldn't imagine it as an only vehicle, 3 wheelers really aren't much fun in heavy rain. You can kit up for the cold like biggles but when it rains you'll be getting wet and fogging up.
Never hidden away, you buy a 3 wheeler you drive it for the fun factor and the whooping grin it'll put on your face.
I reckon around 5,000 miles pa.
Would definitely take it on a long trip. Just have to plan it well. Not sure if the better half would be as keen as me though. No problem really as I'll just have more room for luggage in the spare seat. Distance of 200-300 miles a day would be plenty enough. 3 wheelers are fun but when you start covering a bit of distance at a constant speed (60-80mph) it gets tiring from the wind buffering.
With a 3 wheeler be prepared for people following you into carparks etc just to ask you what it is. The trick I learnt after a while was to park it and run, otherwise bailed up chatting for ages. I imagine there will be even more interest with a shiny new Morgan 3 Wheeler then with my 2CV powered Lomax.
Bring it on.

I've had several prior attention-getting cars, but none probably could command the attention that the 3W will likely generate. The biggest concern is from damage being caused by people getting too close, scratching paint with zippers, purses, packages, etc. I've caught many rude people manhandling and toying with my collectible cars when I'd left the them parked in public places. Yes, they'll scratch your 3W with their zippered coats, their purses and packages, etc. Yes, they'll actually sit inside your 3W if they think you''re not around. They'll pick at it, open your gas cap, drip their ice cream onto your leather, and other things that'll leave you in disbelief. Oh, and wait until unknown kids start climbing on your 3Ws fenders and standing on its exhaust pipes and unfastening your boot hold-downs... while their father will be underneath your 3W to get a look at your rear wheel setup. These will be regular happenings – some days you'll love it, and some days you'll hate it. Be prepared!

Often the same thing happens to 4 wheelers... Cheers,

My 3W will be my daily driver. My one-and-only. If it won't fit in a 3W, I won't buy it, and shouldn't own it. Can't wait to drive it in our semi-annual rainstorm. Can't wait to assault the SoCal freeways at rush hour. Can't wait.

Most will will also thinking 'lucky Bastard'. Be careful you don't cause any pileups with people hanging out their car windows trying to take a pic with an iPhone. It'll happen...

Yes. I think I'll go "loud and proud." For years I was known on the local freeways driving my '57 Isetta. It's always fun to be controversial... after all, this is California!
