I don’t find F1 boring. There may be quiet periods in a race but interest is bolstered by pit stops, strategy, racing incidents/passes. I remember years ago when pitstops took an age. In the early years driver got out for a cigarette whilst out of the and wheel changes involved knock offs and mallets. Refuelling too. Monaco is probably the least e citing as qualifying tends to create the result.
It is like cricket. The individual skills, the way bowlers work a batsman with variations, the way batsmen work the bowlers and manipulate the fielders.

I agree with Ivormog. If you are an F1 trainspotter then you enjoy it.
If someone asked me about cricket I would say it is boring so is it just down to your personal cultural experiences?
If you dip in and out of most sports at that level you have trouble seeing the differences.

I would like to see more of the driver than the car to make the result more varied.
If you see what is happening with DTM at the moment a lot of sport is in stress and maybe this will result in more excitement in F1. There is certainly a lot of talent to comes through that needs a chance to shine rather than be in a "tail end team".

That 3D rendition shows the robustness of modern F1 and the use of carbon composites - lots of energy absorbed as bits broke off initially - lots more energy absorbed to break off the engine/transmission yet the cell holding the driver stayed intact and he walked...the big issue is the loss/ignition of fuel which has been a rarity for some time

Really interesting reconstruction, Grosjean was one who wasn't happy with the halo but was quick to admit it saved his life and he was wrong.
As with WRC some safety developments will find their way into mainstream cars, F1 might appear boring but without it we wouldn't have as safe cars on the road as we have now I feel.

It looks like Mercedes might have to shoe horn George into Lewis's car again . Bono is fitting larger overtaking mirrors and lndicators. Em

Mercedes are desperate to have Lewis back in the car as they will be running a surprise livery with all the names of the Team Workers in Brackley and Brixworth to celebrate this years achievement. As Lewis's 7th championship was a big part of that, it's understandable that Lewis should be in the car if at all possible.

Hence leaving it to the very last minute to decide.

Merc have announced Lewis is driving. As a Hamilton admirer I admit to disappointment on behalf of neutrals-it would have been great to see George back in the car and Jack A in the Williams...I also see Mazepin is adding to his tremendous reputation (via tasteless actions towards a female) before even getting to F1 even ignoring his dangerous and v angry driving, bet the Haas paymasters are a bit disappointed (even if his dad is paying more of the bills).
