Does anyone actually do them?
Every year I vaguely plan some winter projects but ever year they fail at the first cold weather hurdle. Working in the garage or even worse on the deck of the boat in December or January when its 4C outside very rapidly loses any appeal.
Right now the only winter project I am interested in is hibernation

yes I do, over the years I've completed approx one project per year. I hate the winter months (SAD?? don't know) but I really dislike cold dark and wet days. I also get very restless and 'need' to make stuff.
My garage is pretty snug, carpets and a heater, although its crammed I can manage most things. Ive done complete restorations and mini-tidyups too.
Itching for a project right now, se my longest thread

Yep ... I save my heavy outdoor projects (laying paths, building stuff, ditching etc) for the winter .... cooler so less sweaty and avoids the dreaded Midgie .... also the shorter days stop me from knocking myself out these days .... up here there's only two hours of nearly dark in the middle of summer .... easy to rack up a stupidly long working day without even realising it and do yourself in.

Currently part way through moss removal on my many (too many) concrete tiled roofs, halted for a bit of medical intervention. but hoping to get back up there soonest.... I wonder if moss growth has increased now that acid rain has been reduced perhaps as the result of demolishing all the coal fired power stations...? K stupidly long working day... been there done that and for years and years, to end up creating all those effing roofs.... Double DUH..!

Started last winter but haven't had time nor the motivation to finish the job. A 50° roof pitch doesn't make it easy either 😠

my winter project is a 2005 land rover defender 90 purchased last week, after inspection it could keep me going for 3 or 4 winters
Very much in the dog house, could be up for rehoming

Good man!! My repaired/galvanised bulkhead is starting to show signs of rot in the usual place near the driver's door upper hinge.
