I did manage to find a reference in the DM, amongst the 'peachy derrieres, chiseled abs, and killer cleavages' - although it was basically the Rueters article.

I get the impression that it is a mutally beneficial arrangement and time limited, rather than the EU being unable to live without us, and gives the EU more time to ultimatelt shift out of the London Stock Exchange.

Think I’ll stick with my 110 Defender for a while. It’s more than holding its value and it’s a joy to own.

I wish them all the best.

Same here with our Td5 SWB hardtop. It's 18 years old, only done 110k miles, is absolutely fine, and I can't justify (or afford) replacing it. Since we stopped keeping sheep it doesn't get much use these days but it's a great load lugger/winter alternative to the Morgan.

I couldn't decide whether to post this here, or on the no-deal Brexit thread, but here we go. Surprised nobody has brought this up since the news broke.

Arch Brexit evangelist and Monaco tax-dodger Jim Ratcliffe has decided to build the Ineos Grenadier in France.

This is what he said last year “We have looked long and hard at possible manufacturing locations for Grenadier across the world with lots of good options to choose from. The decision to build in the UK is a significant expression of confidence in British manufacturing, which has always been at the heart of what Ineos stands for. Our preference is to build it in the UK.
“We’d like to retain the Britishness and have a bit of passion about UK manufacturing,” he told Sun readers at the time. “We believe that Britain can produce something as reliable as Germany or Japan if we do it well.”

clapclapclap How about you put your money where your mouth is Jim ?

My sincere sympathy to the people of Bridgend who were hoping to be building them, and have had their hopes dashed.

Absolutely this. This isn't the Soapbox, so I shall say no more.

Yes i have been following this...it seems there was an empty facility already built that would suit the manufacturing requirements.

Good point.

I shall re-post this on the other thread.

So much for sovereignty of the UK. You would have thought with the magic money tree in full flow Doris could have stepped in.
We need to make things not import them.
