The Plus Four & Six seats seem rock hard and the lumber support is at the wrong point for me. They have a plastic shell around the back squab so fitting anything might be tricky. But at £80 K I would expect decent seats.

I remember the Plus Six and Plus Four seats being firm, but didn't seem to be a problem. I recently re-read several reviews in one of the Plus Six threads, and they all had similar thoughts - not a major issue.

The seats are hard, but I could live with it. But I could not live with the fact, that they are way too high. You are sitting on the car and gear lever, steering wheel etc are somewhere down in the car. The man responsible for these seats can be max 1,60 m, I think. As we know, our beloved factory needs some years to react to problems. 🙃 But when I will be ready for purchasing my next one, there will be a solution, I am sure. Kind off. 😜

I just took delivery of my new Plus Four a couple of weeks ago and thought I'd throw my two penneth in. Seat fit is a very personal thing of course but for me the shape, spring rate, size etc. is fine. The only issue is the location and I feel its set a little high. I also have a P4SS and in that you do feel more in the car than on top as others have remarked. I think beacuse of the seat height I am more exposed to the wind and am therefore noticeably colder in the car too. Admittedly I have been out on some chilly days and despiet heated seats I have used the Plus Four as an excuse to buy a new and warmer jacket for an early Christmas present to my self. When time/inclination permits I will have a look at the scope for lowering the seat but its not keeping me awake at night at the moment.

Ian, agreed it is a personal thing. For me it was a show stopper given the £40k I would have had to invest & the complete lack of in car storage. . Others will see it differently & I wish MMC well with what is a very nice car.

Seat height and side support are much better with the new seats ( cars after end of November 2020), a hard seats is also not an issue the problem is that if you clutch or brake you press yourself in the seat and you get pressure on a single point on your spine and also one point on your tailbone and that is not comfortable.
