Now there is a step-by-step DIY video on Facebook.

Only the length of the screws is missing ;-)

Hi Jon M

The story goes - I was given one piece of material by my colleague so bought the rest and made my own set which came out better than expected.

I then made an extra set from what material was left over.

I auctioned that set among Roadster 100 Register Members and it sold for £60 - all in support of Combat Stress.

5 other members also bid so I offered to make each bidder a set for The Average of the Top 3 Bids = £50 each.

I kept one set of material unmade just in case any were 'lost in the post'

I wasn't planning to make any more but ???

How I made them - [video:youtube]https://youtu.be/7Jvtla8hO5o[/video]

You are so right!

I have scratched my nearly new (2 weeks) Morganpark steering wheel with the easy up hood.

We have to raise the easy up hood each time we start to use the car to store Jackets, side screens etc.!

So I hope....

Just be careful if you use this device with the car pointing steeply downhill. As it is non-latching, the hood can suddenly fall forwards into the drivers cockpit and scratch your steering wheel again. I have made my own using stainless steel, in a much simpler form and it latches in position. However only the bottom hood rail where it is attached latches, but the bulk of the folded hood can still flop forwards on sloping ground.
