I agree re him raising the game at RB. It would be good.

Albon has let the side down a bit this year and next years constructors championship is way more competitive than the last few years. Look at the ranking of the not AMG's from 5 and 3 years ago and then at this year. Next year has little change in the cars and so it will get tighter and so both cars will need to score points.

My limited observation of Max is that he is a team player and not a flaming vanity like some. A good partner for him will help him build his game and also ensure the pesky "mid-field" teams don't go causing RB a more serious worry. I also do rate Perez driving in it's own right. His work to keep the team moving when it went pop was a real moral builder within the team as I understood it, at a dire time. I have always followed them as they were a customer of mine previously and will admit to be so impressed by how hard they worked to punch above their weight. With the increase in budget and focus they have done a great job this year.

I also thought DanRic was a little nuts to jump to Renault given the form McLaren and Racing Point were showing last year but they also improved considerably this year.

I look forward to increased competition with whatever next year brings. (If you ignore the AMG gap effect it is good fun just behind)
