I would second that. Though I understood dealers were told not to alter anything or offer say aftermarket exhausts etc. The seats & lack of internal storage eventually made me not opt for the new CX cars. I had a bad back after the test drive. Ditto for me too, then you look at the cost of suspension upgrades and a grand to sort the seats & it all gets a bit silly

Spoken to the factory and they told me that 150 cars were delivered and only 1 or 2 people complained about the seats ( that is code language in my opinion for we know there is a problem). I have asked for a solution but they have send me to Allon White and there is a waiting list till February so basically they say you are on your own. Quite disappointing for a car that costs in Belgium around the 100K mark. So I'm planning to have the seats redone asap so we can forget about this hiccup and hope for other problems Morgan will provide a better support.

„We know there is a Problem“. You are right with your interpretation in my view, PiGo. After all, one or two complaints would be as many as 165000 admitted complaints in the VW Group related to 11 million cars built in 2019. And here on TM alone, at least 20 people have complained about the seats, if you add Plus Four and Plus Six together, or in other words, almost every one who did a testdrive and wrote a report. I am not saying this because MMC is incompetent to build good seats. But they obviously have a hard time when it has to be different from what has been produced for 90 years due to new regulations.

A dealer told me people had complained on the Plus six seats & the dealers were then not happy that the Plus Four had even harder seats.

When I have ordered the car I have send a mail to Morgan to say that I was not happy with the seats from the test car and that I wanted more comfortable seats. They told me that they changed the design and that my car was one of the first with the new seats ( delivery Dec 2020). If I compare the new seats with the ones from the test car they are improved but still spine bruisingly hard. I have now invested in a 14£ seat cover and the seat is already a lot more comfortable 🤦♂️.

Just musing over this issue and comparing with a new sofa we bought that my partner found a little too soft after a while. I wonder if the CX series seats need some extended use before they adapt to a particular body shape. With age both myself and partner suffer from back pain at times, so a firm seat back with good lumber support is always preferable. That's why I had Allon White fit inflatable lumber supports to my standard Classic seats. Inflating bulb can be seen here on outer edge of seat. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/HHf1ZHN.jpg) I believe CX seats have similar.

I'm not sure if the buildup of the CX seats is the same, but in the Trads, you can carefully insert the lumber pouch without a stripdown, I've even added an extra layer of contoured foam to the upper backrest part, I may upgrade to memory foam next year & try that

I wouldn't pass judgement until I've sat in the Plus four or six. Whether "harder" is good or not depends on the design, I guess. My Elise, which is now 13.5 years old, has relatively hard and thin „Probax“ seat shells that cannot be adjusted (except back and forth on the driver's side). These seats are really good, they are hard but the shape of the shell adapts to each back individually after a while. At first I thought it was a marking gag, but it really works and you are absolutely pain-free for many hours.

In the Coupe we have the Tillet seats which have almost no padding at all. They were comfy for hours at a time when we toured. Shape is more critical than padding in my experience. Unless of course my ever fatter shape no longer fits in them.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
