Thieves have stolen electronic equipment from a Russian military aircraft known as a "doomsday plane" for its role in the country's nuclear arsenal, local media report. Reports say unknown thieves broke into the Ilyushin Il-80 plane at an airfield in the southern region of Rostov. It is unclear when the incident took place, but 39 units of equipment and five radio boards were taken. The local government said an investigation was under way. Military experts say the aircraft is one of four Il-80s designed to be used as airborne command posts for Russian officials, including the president, in the event of a nuclear conflict. Interfax news agency describes them as among Russia's most classified aircraft. Further details have not been publicly disclosed about the equipment taken by the thieves. They will be easy to spot.
There will be a christmas tag on the corner marked from Vlad to Donald. The words below will say "you may need these for your private Jet from January, best wishes on your escape, Ghislaine says she has your room fitted out. See you there." and a couple of kisses.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Technology? Can spot an Intercontinental Ballistic missile travelling at Mach2 but not a Cosaack crawling at twenty feet.

Good luck to Putin. I flew extensively in the 18s and 62s in the 1980s & 90s around Russia and Eastern European countries mostly with Aeroflot and Malev. The nose cones were often some sort of "see through material" so they could be converted quickly to bombers. Plexiglass for the bomb aimers. Survived the experience although one of the fears was that the floor around the toilets was badly weakened by splashed urine so don't put too much weight on the floor if you had to use one.

I flew Moscow to Kiev in one plastic nose cone jobbie in 1975. The seats were canvas, sort of foldable directors chairs. The leg room was good though as they jets weren't very powerful so the load was limited. Then in early 90s I went often to Warsaw. LOT used a mixture of Russian planes (with natty hand painter interiors) & new 737s. You loaded by bus so there was always a frisson of excitement as to what plane you got.

Maybe they coated it all in Novichok or Polonium hoping it will find it's way to the CIA and purposely left a light guard around the plane knowing they have a more advanced system in the pipeline..
