Boat build

Another experiment in photo posting, this photo was taken yesterday, if this works I will add earlier pictures of the build and bore you all.

Fantastic, it worked, now I can add earlier pictures if there's any appetite for them out in TM land. I might even do it there's not.😂

Just as an FYi for traditional boat lovers - it is a great few days out with all kinds of boats, cars and stuff. Also has a big Amphibian meet- which is great fun!

Bow thruster Gordon, that`s cheating... smile Hero 7 black in use here and works OK. Hope you get the gremlins sorted before your trip.

Interested in how your Hero 7 black is set up George. This is mine, I've got the latest firmware so when the adaptor is fitted I should have microphone options in the audio input settings. As you can see I've got N/A and nothing I've tried has changed that. I thought the external microphone did work yesterday but if it did the internal mics in the camera do as well and I get very little other than wind noise. Very frustrating 😩

Our family love proper boats, pre covid my daughter lived very near Limehouse and we visited to see the Dunkirk "Little Ships", some owners even gave a little tour on board thumbs

Both the above look like great events, also on this weekend was this. https://stbfportsoy.org/. To my shame I've never attended but it is a wonderful event by all accounts if you're ever up in the area. Portsoy is a lovely village and has been a location for many TV and film companies. Also has a great ice cream shop🍦

Still good to visit for the boats .... more family stuff to do has been added rather than it being largely round racing the old boats but still a fine day out it seems .... haven't been for a few years due to other stuff on, and it's been years since I sailed it on Mark's boat 'De Tollie'. Look forward to seeing your boat on the water ... great work you're doing on it 👍

Great progress Gordon, be sure to visit the Italian chapel (say a quick one for me) and Skara Brae have a lovely trip, are you sailing from Aberdeen ?

Scapa always gave me the same feeling as driving through Glencoe, you can just feel the history overcoming you and both so hauntingly beautiful.

Thanks again for the encouraging comments. I managed to get some more vinyl on today and it's great to see the finishing touches happening.
Ewan did recommend the Aberdeen crossing but Mrs D isn't a good open water sailor so we're driving up to Gills bay and crossing from there.
All the usual tourist attractions are on the list so I'll certainly put in a good word for you Richard, only there for a week mind.
evil laugh2

Thanks Gordon, well it's a start grin2

Be sure to take your good lady to the Ola Gorie shop in Kirkwall, she crafts some beautiful Celtic/Norse pieces, Mrs Rich has a couple of bits.
