I have decided to have a go at trials riding during the winter months and have bought a 1955 James with a 197 Villers engine. That looks like it could be fun, get your ear plugs in for Guy Martin though he came without a volume control fitted

Great stuff !! I used to do a bit of trials. Sold my GasGas earlier this year thoug :-( #
I may buy another at some point. Love the pre 65 stuff

A very nice ice little bike. I hope you have a lot of enjoyment with it. I have a pal rebuilding a Tiger Cub. My first bike road was a Norman, leading link front forks and 197 Villiers 9E... Recently saw a saw a very tidy Sprung Hub Speed Twin for sake for under £1K and was tempted ...till logic took over the thought processes and spoiled the fun.. Trials... had a go at that with a Honda Red Rocket, when I woke up the next morning I thought someone had nailed me to the bed..!

I ride when I can, though sadly there’s not much going on here without travelling huge distances - I only do the twin shock stuff now, too old for the modern events...
