thanks, so the 5th gear is an overdrive, but my Q is what is ratio of the bits subsequent to the transmission (ie, what would be the differential if there were more than one wheel), frequently somewhere between say 3.0 and 4.11.

in this case there is the transfer box-like deal, then the relative size of the cogs of the belt drive to consider and tire size.

basically just wondering if the vehicle is geared toward the "tall" side, or the "short" side. what RPM is is turning in 5th at 65mph? is it loafing along, or busy and buzzing?
