Team success in F1 has been cyclical with teams evolving and dominating for periods. Mercedes are having an extended top of the tree at the moment. There will be either rule changes pushed for by lesser teams to rein them in or another team has a purple patch with innovations. Remember the Colin Chapman, Gordon Murray, Frank Williams eras? Money has become a major factor, especially after Bernie took over the brand. Motorsport at any level costs. The 750Club try to limit costs with their range of classes for the lower end and entry help. As you move up the costs escalate.

These are the only guys keeping it real for me and within the grasp of everyone really, I love attending when they are down our way and chatting away to real petrol heads a great atmosphere even if your are freezing and or soaked.

Em, take the mog,then you can sit there answering stock questions about wooden chassis, and listening to tales about ancient deceased relatives who owned one.but in those days they only had three wheels......but after watching the old boy in the final scenes of the film Genavive this week I have mellowd.

Dave, I feel very much the same as you......but, i record the highlights from TV and then judge what to view. Quite a lot of it can be very entertaining and you control what you see. Wishing you a very good Christmas break from severely lockdown Kent

I watch the film Grand Prix. I have a recording of it. I think it is one of, if not THE, best film of motorsport. Filmed at circuits with many F1drivers of the time. Superb onboard footage, split screen scenes. A good underlying story with awesome racing footage.

And not forgetting the other sound track by Maurice Jarre.

The movie "Ford v. Ferrari" can keep up very well ... Also "Rush"...
