I would think if there were enough water on the road to come UP through the holes that it would be the water coming DOWN from the sky that would be the issue.... IMHO

I would think if there were enough water on the road to come UP through the holes that it would be the water coming DOWN from the sky that would be the issue.... IMHO +1. Leaks from above. If water is coming up i think obeying the signs that say “road flooded” might be a clue you could get your pedals wet.

I notice they have snow/water depth marker on the road, sort of an indicator of should or shouldn’t i. Like depth of hull markers on ships.

The worse risk of water running across the road is that it is (or has) actually washed out a section you cannot see. Maybe drain holes would prevent the M3W from floating if the water is too high

Ha! So true!! I had a small car drift sideways once, nothing washed out but the power of the water against the wheels pushed it sideways. Luckily it caught traction before going down the Carmel River.
