There's no rush is there. Let the early prospectors deal with the niggles. The brakes are a surprise. They either didn't "notice", or didn't act to resolve that. Neither of which is impressive. Brakes should be spot on, with cars like these. The seats wouldn't stop me because that's fixable later, but again, is this a result of only testing with "Young men's" arses? Didn't they test seat comfort with a variety of shapes and sizes?

Storage inside is more of an issue. Cramming space is invaluable, but again not a deal breaker. In the end, the benefits over my Trads right now don't justify the massive extra cost.

Right now, this is the only Morgan which catches my eye.............

I take into account what John says re the gearbox. And I know that my first Morgan, the S1 Roadster was „complete“ and „round“. So you know what you have. On the other hand the price looks tempting for one of the last Trads, a so matured car, and a new one in this case. Dave, TBH who should purchase a Trad if not you considering all your knowledge. Perhaps a CX car would be boring to you, and the price difference between this 3.7 offer and a Plus Four is remarkable. I personally would go for her. The character of the NA engines suit the Morgans. I had a nice drive today, enjoyed the 4/4 and thought exactly about this nice engine behave while driving.

It is still a great car. Now I know the gearbox I understand how to get the best from Belle. The 3.7 is a well built well rounded car.

+1 especially with SSL suspension. Main gearbox issues for me is ridiculously low first and speed of changes although latter is almost entirely due to rev hang.

agreed first is almost useless (a real crawler gear) & 6th is overdrive. Mine as you know has the rev hang fix so generally that isn't an issue but you can still find false neutrals at times.
