Is this the one that someone from Berrybrook crashed on the way back from the factory I wonder as it is well below market price or is it a genuine bargain.

Thanks, it certainly is not a person you want to do business with not declaring that and it makes you wonder what else is being concealed.

I don't like white and the only other white one I have seen was a Speedster version and he is a member on here.
I remember the Berrybrook incident as the car at the time had a union jack wrap thing all over the bonnet and someone put a picture of it on here after the crash and it was a bloody mess, if I recall correctly they stuffed it into the central reservation of the motorway on the way down.

I think the rebuild article was in Miscellany a few months ago.

Interesting this, and not knowing much about write-offs, I had a look on the RAC website. Category D is when there is usually relatively minor/light damage but still would overall (inc. car hire, storage, etc) cost more than the car is worth. Following repairs, no special inspection is required to validate the repair work relying on annual MOTs to pick up anything amiss.
Surprisingly perhaps, neither DVLA nor DVSA need to be informed. However, a trade seller must make it clear to prospective buyers BUT a private seller does not need to. (aren’t our laws peculiar...)
So this seller is doing nothing illegal but we fall back to the old adage “if it seems too good to be true....”

Doug, thanks for that, it does seem a bit crazy and I'll admit to feeling very suspicious when I read the advert as it seems like a trade one to me tbh and definitely too good a price to be true, it's been around for at least a month that I'm aware of.

Was that on the new plus6 on the new cx chassis ?

Curiously, for a car advertised as being owned for 6 years, the most recent V5 was issued in 2019 - could be a house move I suppose.

The re build article is in novembers Miscellany page 38 Anew plus six for 53800 so the Gentleman in question is selling his older plus 8 there is no mention of any insurance cat in the write up so i think benefit of the doubt should be given unless your sure, It'also for sale in the mag.... Em
