Wasn't Thomas Cochrane better known as "Red Beard" ? Don't think so. In all of the pictures I've seen of him, he was clean shaven. He did have pale auburn/strawberry blonde hair. You are quite correct Giles, I was thinking of Admiral of the Red

I have not seen this one mentioned "The Lonely Sea And Sky" by Sir Francis Chichester. This is a singularly inspirational book and a rip-roaring read from an era that will appeal to all Morgan owners I think.
He was a proper "Chap" and got into all sorts of insane adventures. It would be "The One" that I'd take to a desert island and if you read it you would understand why.
"The Elegant Universe" by Brian Greene is another brilliant book but in an entirely different way.

Thank you all for your replies on this.
It might sound blunt, but by writing all of your choices down (discs, books, films and TV programmes) you are recording the reading, listening and watching 'soundtrack' of your life.
It might come in handy later!
