Last night I switched on the box to see what the Golden Wonder had to say - and found myself agreeing with the need for lockdown - should have done it at the beginning of the year. However after the announcement, I thought it had gone straight into a spoof type of comedy programme trailer. It comprised of a dog-grooming (is that legal? ) competition where people seemed to be giving dogs the most ridiculous haircuts. It was not even a documentary on how some people treat their dogs. The Great British Dog Groom - or- Strictly Come Dog Grooming type of programme which is going to last for several weeks. I know that I can - and will- switch off the box, but it got me to thinking whether the world has gone daft or is it just me that is out of step? I am not a dog lover, but if I were, I would think that this type of thing borders on cruelty to animals. Maybe I could suggest to the Beeb - "The Great British Morgan Nipple Grease". No doubt there will now be a barrage of posts from professional dog-groomers up in arms.

It’s not just you — I have 3 dogs -2 labradors and a spaniel - love them to bits—no way would I see this type of carryon as anything other than cruelty!!!

I saw it as well, thought it was a joke. Another good reason why the licence fee is ridiculous, producing/buying in utter garbage. I will go back to my "The Sweeney" repeats.

I missed that, rather glad I did by the sound of it. But I did record Extreme Salvage Squad, yet to watch it hopefully not another drama queen show.

No it’s defo not just you. Lady HB was shocked at my language when we saw the advert for that programme. I said we should get refund of TV licence if they are dumbing down to Love Island status on the beeb

A couple of days ago in the newsagents two different parties of London based second homers were heard to be congratulating each other on their clever move to spend time down here as you feel so much safer.
Upon which the shop owner locked the shop with them inside and called plod who duly responded and they were issued fines and sent packing back to London Village.

I'm not a dog lover in any way but I understand thoes who are.

I am an animal lover however. I have quite a few in my freezer.

Spotted in Key West (where else) a couple of years ago. Reflects the intelligence level of the owner!

Now that is cruelty to animals. It certainly is a show I'll avoid
