-3 freezing fog +LED headlights not really a good mix, nice layer of ice, whereas good old halogen lamps run hot and have no such issues, unless you have headlamp washers that is.
The very reason some 7" LED replacement lamps have heater elements it the polycarb/glass

Mine don't have heaters so it may be a problem still to be encountered. But I am 67 and don't go out in freezing fog much these days if I can help it.

High power LED lamps do generate a fair bit of heat hence the sizeable sinks needed. I believe incandescent bulbs emit a fair amount of infra red as well as visible light though, which is the advantage when it comes to de-icing external lens.

At least you are using your lights. This morning whilst out running a motorist came out of the mist on a freezing road doing about 50 in a 30 limit area - when the car drew level, I noticed the driver was on his/her mobile (going too fast to see the gender of the driver). They live and breathe(& breed!) amongst us.
