He did often know more about driver transfers and inside information before any of the others when he was on the channel I use. He could be a little naughty but he did bring a lot of content.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

For any that are interested, F1 sailing is starting today with the Prada cup to see who will challenge for the Americas Cup, after Decembers performance Ineos team has quite a hill to climb to be competitive -a shame as I believe Britain winning would be good for the cup, however these boats are tricky and expensive beasts and anything can happen-Team NZ capsized this week while running at nearly 40 knots, but were sailing again the next day. We have yet to see the high speed foils utilised that they do have (require towing in and constant flight as once off them the boat wont climb by itself) It is remarkable how things change, ETNZ was towed past me this week at about 38 knots fully rigged flying smoothly with the crew chatting and wandering around the deck preparing for a days practicing! This and normal upwind speeds of 36-38 knots are the new normal -till you experience it up close with the associated sound effects its like a computer game.

Wow could not have asked for a better start to the Prada cup -Brittania team Ineos two wins from two over USA and Italy, perfect weather here I wish I had put a dollar on them after everybody wrote them off the week before Christmas. Obviously the AMG F1 team taught them a thing or two about 24 hour shifts to change the rig rudder etc. Watch it on you tube delayed or live if you are a non sleeper in Europe.
Best wishes to all from a country that knows how to lock down -not just sort of.

It’s certainly affected DC......

Oh well we know he is AC/DC now .....

Seriously though DC and Mark Weber make that program for me with their hands on knowledge, the lanky one is a PIA really coming out with his 6th form not funnies...

The ex drivers add a big chunk of hands-on knowledge that enhances the often dull moments. The pro commentators often spoil the event with their noisy excitement.
Most sports suffer the same and it is the ex pros who lift things. In most cases anyway.

True, my late MIL bless her was an avid Wimbledon attendee and latterly tv viewer and her answer was to watch it on the box with it on mute and tune into a radio program covering the same match but with a little more coherent delivery.

Ben Edwards will be a big loss to the commentary team being a weekend racer himself .

Thanks for the heads up on that. I had completely forgotten that the Prada Cup was kicking off.

Great first day from Ben and the Team.

Interesting that Ineos sponsor both the British Americas Cup challenge and the Mercedes F1 team who are helping the boat design team.

I think the Prada Series might deserve it's own thread with Waikiore as our lead commentator, on the spot so to speak.

Yes but I have an inkling that the laconic Mark Weber might well be filling the void which would be great, it could just be wishful thinking but we'll see wink
