Should have added that I am in Lancashire on the Fylde Coast - Lytham. My nearest Official Morgan dealer is Oakmere in Northwich, although Life’s Motors are just across the estuary in Southport.
I have been to a few Breakfast Meetings at Oakmere but, although they were always Lotus and Caterham Club events, I was usually able to have a quick look at the Morgan’s tucked away in the showroom. Well it's a very small world, I live in St Annes, (not that I'm biased but may I say you have good taste and its an excellent choice of where to live), if you want chat and to get a feel for an slightly older 2006 Morgan 4/4 ( Duratec 1800 engine ) once this nasty Covid stuff is over, maybe I can help. I came back into Morgan ownership again in August this year after nearly 25 years since my last one. I don't regret it for a minute, there is nothing quite like a Morgan. They certainly have their foibles and can be a firmer ride compared with modern cars. When you do decide to buy one, take it for a long drive, across mixed road surfaces to get a real feel for how the car rides and handles. Love that colour with the black wheels. Really sharp.
Have you ever had problems with the number plate stuck on your wing? My car is the same and I’ll be presenting it for an MOT later this year for the first time.
