I know about the issues with the fuel line clamps behind the air cleaner, and have changed them. My car is a ‘16 with 12,000 miles. For the first 15 miles or so after sitting a week, there’s a strong gas smell ( it’s not coming from me😂). If I stop and get out, the air cleaner is where I get the smell from and there’s zero evidence of wetness behind it or anywhere else. I’m guessing the air filter is getting soaked? Maybe it dries out after so many miles? Appreciate any experience or thoughts.

I doubt there is any fuel getting to the filter, unless you’re having to turn over the engine for several minutes before it fires. The engine is fuel injected and has a relatively robust supply and return system.

I also have a 2026 with 9k miles. I have never smelt fuel after starting or while driving my 3W.

I just installed Custom Morgan.net’s fuel line and pressure regulator. The original rubber supply lines, just before they terminated into the injector towers were both severely cracked.
There was no evidence of fuel seeping through but, I suspect it was just a matter of time.

Check your tank mounts for cracks around the mount bolts (wet mount bolts directly behind the cockpit) and check the feeder pipes for chafing or splits.
Check your windscreen for cracks/crazing as a tell tale indication of leaking/fuel mist spray.

All good out those points. Smell is absolutely coming from right behind the air cleaner where the fuel lines are.

As per K Henry, I would check the fuel lines at the injectors. My lines had delaminated and petrol was able to very subtly seep out. They were also nearly blocked.
This would appear as behind the air filter

I’ve already replaced the lines and clamps. Seemed to work for awhile.

It has been known for the pressed in tubes that the fuel line clamp onto can leak at the injector tower.
