PS: and you can even bypass the volume control if you want by directly use the cinch labelled "output" connected to the volume control.

Yes, I found the original Bluetooth connectivity but I don't plan to use it, so I disconnected it.
I have connected a DAB+ module on the audio line in and I connect my mobile to this DAB+ module via Bluetooth. So at the end it's like planned by Morgan but with a DAB+ radio in addition.

Technically yes, practically no. Bluetooth is almost as flaky as when introduced around 16 years ago I have found.

Maybe Richard. But in my experience and particualrly with our cars (Jaguar, Volvo and Morgan) Bluetooth is pretty good nowadays. My iPhone hasn't failed to connect automatically to our cars in my memory (not that long then some might say laugh2) Are modern installations more robust/stable in terms of connection? Perhaps. And at least Morgan seem to be on the same level as larger OEMs.

I guess it's down to personal experience Ian but present issues with my Android phone and Sony Bluetooth radio involve getting a music streaming connection with ignition in Aux then failing to re-connect after engine started or having music playing through phone speaker. Not connecting after a period when not used, needing to pair devices again etc. Generally ok after a connection is made and maintained but recall one instance where it dropped out on our Mini's audio system whilst streaming and refused initially to reconnect.

Easy to blame the devices but had similar flaky connections with Windows laptop, tablet and many phones working under a variety of OS over the 16 years or so I've been using Bluetooth connections to a wide, diverse range of other devices. As I suggested just my experience over many years but too many issues to ignore.

we need the new LE Audio Bluetooth standard which gives better quality with a smaller bandwith and power requirement -- should come in the next 12 months or so -- google LE Audio
