Mercedes call it Artico,.... Artificial Cow . They use it on the dash and door cappings and it is virtually impossible to distinguish it from the real leather facing on the seats. More about it HERE from Autocar.

Artico is horrible on seats .. it sticks to clothing much more than leather.
And looks and feels cheap and tacky, like something on a Dacia
