sorted out some bubbling around my rear lights when I had my roadster, he is a perfectionist and his price was significantly less than 2 other quotes I got. He also has some very interesting vehicles on site. He is in essence a one man operation but I would use him again but suspect he would not work on my modern vehicles

Definitely worth going, We took one of our grandsons there a couple of years ago, he loved it...and I had fun too, he was too small to drive some of the stuff himself so I had to "help".

Not a cheap day out but good fun.

Sospan jnr is trying to find a venue to get married later this year. Some of the quotes are exorbitant. The basic venue cost is very high in some cases and then they add on extras that I would consider included. For example,
Room hire £3000, £250 per table in there, extra for everything else. Food extra, drinks, entertainment,
There is a backlog of cancelled weddings due to Covid but it looks like some are increasing costs to catch back on revenue. Perhaps also it is a case of over subscription and competition for dates/locations.
This is in Cardiff and a range of venues being tried and not prestige venues and not a big wedding, they don’t want every man and his dog to be there.

Sospan .... Now you can get married just about anywhere, perhaps you should try to bypass the chiselers and go for a more quirky venue .... especially if it's not going to be a cast of thousands ... a small art gallery etc ... there will be plenty of places who have had a hard time over the covid period who may embrace something out of their ordinary line for some unexpected income.

This sort of thing can be very nice, it's local to us and a friend of ours daughter used the venue for everything, some of the guests hired their yurts and had a great time, the bride was an equestrian.

Not Cardiff, I know, but have you tried the Towers Hotel on Swansea bay ?

My niece had what they called a "festival" wedding in the middle of a field. All the amenities were laid on with a marquee for the food and live music, and guests stayed in on-site yurts. Later in the evening guests were dancing around the field wearing headphones as they had a silent disco. Most enjoyable wedding I've ever been to, albeit a bit strange to those used to more conventional weddings.

The ladies partner sees to that side of it and she does everything else with her team of volunteers.

It's a lovely visit when they have an open day with a great feel about the place.
The world needs more people like them.
