I think this would fail the MOT as your sleeve could get caught on one of the "horns". Tapered slots in steering wheel spokes are a no-no for the same reason - could get a button caught in the slot.

Bonsie..your steering wheel idea was also made by Morgan Park (German Dealer ) ..I might have a picture somewhere.

They would not sell into the UK market !!!

@ bonesie: this idea came across so many times before you started - sorry to mind you...

MOT does restrict as a steering wheel hat to be a closed loop. Although it might be square as in the Austin.

We played around with steering horns for decades especially with cars that do have steer by wire and variable steering ratios.

One of the issues is the the airbag is supported by the wheel...

It’s not for me but yet again your attention to detail and designs are great.
Now what is interesting is your Satnav holder, your own design?

You will have to use your imagination but I would bind the outer hand hold sections in a nice brown leather and some thick stitch, the rest polished

Dunno, what do you recon ? A step too far ?
Suggestions welcome. laugh2

With your skill Bonesie, it would be well done if not to everyone’s taste. Some nice additions visible, I especially like your driver storage box and might copy that, in a softer material, for my camera.
