One year ago we never thought of owning a dog or a touring caravan and somehow now we have both!

I walk our dog for about 1.5 hours every day through the fields near us whatever the weather and it is a great antidote to this current life we are living. I suspect without the dog we wouldn't chose to walk in all weathers and we would be all the worse for missing out.

 Back in the 80’s I used to tow a heavy caravan from Bedford to Bude with a 1300cc Vauxhall Chevette, with the family and all the paraphernalia on board it only took about 9 hours, mind you to be fair we did set off at 0200! These days I have to force myself to keep to the towing speed limit, trailer shocks, electronic and manual van stability, streamlined body, big diesel, it ain’t what it used to be!

Congrats, nowt wrong with a caravan. We have got a white shed on wheels too ( and a dog) Enjoy the van. I dont particularly like dragging mine around but once set up they make a great base to explore from. Dont forget the no poo rule  Yes, keeping to the speed limit is tricky ! My Volvo drags it around like its not even on there and I soon forget. The best bit is looking in my oversize mirrors that stick out 2 feet each side and seeing a stream of cars behind me. Fair warms the cockles it does. Lol
