This popped up on a Morgan FB site ..... from what I can gather with my preshistoric schoolboy French is that due to serious changes to his private life Thomas Stammet will be giving up the Belgian Dealership .... it will be taken over by Garage Albert who have dynamic and sustainable plans for the dealership going forward. ..... of course I might have entirely the wrong end of the stick .... something I'm good at, even in English.

This may be of interest to our Belgian members and others in the dealership's catchment area.

Simon ...... Not a clue as to the inner workings of the Belgian Dealership world .... just how it reads to me with my, admittedly poor, grasp of French .... perhaps one of our Belgian members can clarify.

Re-reading it, the wording caught me out and it looks like the dealership will be run by the two gentlemen named in the middle paragraph .... sorry for any confusion but languages are not my strong point🙂

Yes that is how I read it. The dealership is Garage Albert. The two people take it over.

That is correct. I also received this letter today.
Garage Albert was founded in 1954 by Thomas's grandfather Albert Stammet
In 1982 his son Jean took over the business. I bought my first Morgan "Tow Tone" in 1997 from him.
Son Thomas had been working in the garage for a number of years before he took over the business in 2014.
It's a shame to see another devotee family disappear from the Morgan world.
As far as I can see now all the staff are staying and hopefully not much will change.
But as we say here; Other bosses other laws!

You're too generous... my French is no better than Rene's from 'Allo Allo' I had quite a leg up from Bing translator to convert the text!

I had very pleasant dealings with Thomas Stammet when I acquired my Roadster. Very nice and knowledgeble team and won European Morgan dealer of the year numerous times. I understood they serve plenty enthusiasts from France. Every year they produce and send out a very nice brochure.

i have received the same letter .I hope the service will be the same but i doubt .Those two people are investors.
