I don't understand the logic either.

Here there is an age limit, ironically after a certain age (I don't know the cut off) Morgan's were no longer allowed to fit a tow bar.

A great shame for people that enjoy this kind of touring whilst having a great car for unhindered exploring, I know Tim has an earlier car hence my comment.


In Germany a tow bar has to be TÜV approved. Than the weight of the Morgan and other facts (trailer with/ without brakes ets.) decide on the weight that can be drawn.

. I had this setup with a microlight caravan, hated towing the thing with the +8 . still got it makes a great garden shed. Morgan type approval for tow bars run out about 2007.


.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

Seems most standard fitters won't do them, Witter etc, but there is a place in Leicester I think, only for the Plus8. On reflection, tenting is preferable, if hotel unavailable! On a cross thread, I'm very happy to have got the MSCC membership discount for Silverstone Classic; worth 2 yrs subs plus 👍. And 2 individual pop up tents might just fit in the spare wheel well....
