Plus 8 has ABS and I think all the CX cars have ABS.

they have funny peoples at Morgan. Here is their answer about the fixing of the brake pedal under warranty:

Good morning

I have checked with our Aftersales team and the new parts cannot be retro fitted to pre 22MY cars.

We will have to tempt you into purchasing a new Morgan………..

Kind Regards,

Not a helpful response, predictable yes doh

I can see my new Plus Four going on the back burner here that being the case....thank you for keeping us all informed on here it is most appreciated thumbs

MMC are making it easy for me to be tempted away tbh to something like this or the V10 Audi both of which are finished products with no excuses.... and both have a sound track to love...

You are of course right, do they not like the V10 Audi out there, it's Ferrari, Lambo and Porsche here..

I want to stay true but the conflicting stories they come out with makes it difficult to stay true to the cause tbh.

Richard buy a Mustang soft top & a used Roadster. It should be cheaper.

That would be a good solution John, or just keep the Plus8 thumbs

Had that White Aero8 not been a Cat D and a nice dark colour except black I'd have had that in a heartbeat and kept the sound track I love. The others on the market are too bright a colour for our taste.

The lack of transparency on this product makes trying to buy a new car like wading through treacle doh they have managed to suck all the joy out of the experience already, and I keep reminding myself this is only the start of the journey..

It's the Morgan way Richard.

In the end, you have to want it more than you fear the consequences of taking the plunge. I have no regrets about buying my Plus 4, and BHM were remarkable all the way through, but the factory throw up obstacles in places where there should not be. I wanted the wider front frame, but that proved impossible. I wanted black wrapped wing beading and that was a fight. On the plus side, MMC were happy to fit alternative tyres, even though in the end it didn't work out due to lack of clearance. And there are a couple of flaws in the leather, one is a circular scar, the other is badly stretched leather on the drivers door cap. And the paintwork on the N/S bonnet shows a slight tide mark under the laqueur where the primer filler has sunk.

And the throttle response was stupidly hair trigger until the remap, and fuel economy was rubbish until the remap. BUT, nothing went wrong. Together that sounds like a nightmare and the overall experience could have been a bit better. I would do it again in an instant though. If they still made Series 1 Roadsters, I would find that hard to resist.

But the bottom line is that you expect some hitches along the way. That's how it is, unless you buy a pre built car with the bugs ironed out.
