Thanks Heinz. I was just contemplating getting myself a productivity incentive for the spring, what with the UK economy about to rebound https://www.billgwynne.com/rally-experiences/national-one-dayI wonder if there's a discount for using your own car......

Folding your bike is cheating.... - ok kidding. With the fourseater and a folding bike - life is easy. Have a Brompton, a Dahon Cadenza 26" and Ritchey brake away. They all fit into the back of the fourseater.
The classic roadbike does not and I am still looking for a solution in style.
Thanks for sharing!

Pleasant, if damp, run to the border today, and a brief crossing into Wales. The river was very red. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/02/05/20210205_142810.jpg)

Finally dry, I couldn't hold them anymore. First took out MattMog to the lake for a walk. But that was impossible without wellingtons. So let"s drive back along scenic roads to pick up two-tone. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/02/05/44.md.jpg) He was not really happy that we stayed out for so long. Took him to the canal. Where I could take a walk. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/02/05/40.md.jpg) After about 60Km with MattMog I had to turn off the heating I was over dressed with the sheepskin jacket. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/02/05/43.md.jpg) It was not that warm, but with heating and half tonneau cover the thermometer run op well. 20°C ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/02/05/41.md.jpg) When I left with two-tone, this was the temperature. Have done only 12 Km this time not over dressed. The heating works well the tonneau makes the difference.

I am itching to get out in the Mog for something other than a supermarket run. I can walk Monty from the house in lovely open spaces but we are missing even a short drive (7 miles) to Pembrey to use the Country Park and forest beyond, never mind heading to mid Wales. Last week police were putting info leaflets on cars in the carparks nearby, advising on not driving just to walk. I do miss just jumping into the Mog for a drive but am more than happy to comply with travel limitation. When vaccine roll out is to enough people to let restrictions ease then that is the time I look forward to. For me it is too soon to stretch the interpretation for going out and about. We will still avoid “tourist hotspots” for a while when relaxation of lockdown kicks in.

Well after 10 weeks I cracked yesterday ... The devil made me do it on medical grounds forgive me father for I have sinned. Well cabin fever got to me yesterday so I made a bid for freedom in the Plus 8 and before I realised what was happening 100 miles was done and dusted, and wonderful it was to hear that rumble once more after another 10 weeks of non running or battery charging. I will confess to feeling really guilty sitting in the car she fires first pot up and there is me thinking about replacing her doh at hot idle of 750 oil pressure of 2 bar what’s not to like, still some serious thinking to do I think she is such a rewarding car to drive. Roof up all the way as it was sleet and snow but it added to the 🤩

This morning everything white and no salt in our neighborhood. The chance for some snow fun with the Morgan. But since I live on top of a slope, coming home was a bit tricky. So kept MattMog inside; with those wide tires I probably wouldn't have made it to the top. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/02/07/45.md.jpg) See the wheelspin.

Best I could do was 1 metre out of the garage just to get the exhaust pipe out as I ran the engine up to temperature. Our road has been gritted this week as it is a fairly busy through road from Epsom to Leatherhead and I’m reluctant to drive on it while still damp and toxic to Morgans. The Plus 4 fired up immediately after 3 weeks of idleness, a little lumpy at first then settling in to a nice reassuring purr.
I discovered the source of some damp in the garage to be a porous panel in the 60s asbestos roof which is a problem I’ll need to wrestle with. Repairing it properly will need some preparation in cleaning the surface which may be dangerous. To go the whole hog and replace the panels will be a very significant investment. I feel a bodge coming on and may chance a spray coat of something over the top of whatever is there to see if that halts the ingress for now, might leave it a few weeks until the temperature rises.

Kevin, there are some clever brush on liquid membranes nowadays, that will even accept being applied to difficult & even damp substrates, best to leave that old asbestos sheet undisturbed & don't scrape the old bitumen off (if you strip off the old panels you'll need a licensed firm & you have to notify the local HSE..£££)
