I fancied the 3 wheeler myself but as I don’t have a 3 wheeler I went for something less expensive.

I don’t smoke and prefer a decent whisky.

You may be aware that the SAS and SBS were issued Rolex watches at one time and those military versions are highly sought after, very collectable and extremely expensive to acquire these days some pieces running into many hundreds of thousands of pounds each, Any sports Rolex (purchased privately) worn on active service that has seen any action may also command a serious premium over a civilian piece..

Absolutely John. Mil subs are highly sought after. There is a chap called Mike wood who is hoovering them all up.
They are a mine field to the layman. So many have had stuff swapped out or made to appear original. Its not something I would get into, even if I could afford one !

I know Mike Wood very well, he sold me my first vintage Rolex well over 20 years ago.

regards

John

Mike Wood is also my go to Rolex man !!!..extensive knowledge and wonderful collection of ex military Rolexs.

Bought watches off him for son ,daughter and wife (ex) and my current Submariner.

He used to drive a Hummer H3 !!!!!

In terms of investment:..bought gold Submariner off him for £10000 4 years ago..sold it to another dealer this year for £14000...who sold it on for £18000 !!!..better than any ISA !!
