We've spent a lot of time looking over the Dart at night and it's a remarkable place.

Some years ago I found a hand coloured photo of Torquay harbour from the hill to the West. The year was pre 1895 because there are no railings around the harbour, and trams are still running.

I took it out of the frame and it turned out to be a postcard glass master. In other words the photographic plate of a period postcard. It's a lovely piece.

I think maybe you have the wrong port there, we don't have buildings in that shot that I can recognise, specifically the castellated one..

The church with the four pinnacles could pass for St Saviours but it's location is totally wrong.

Possibly Cornwall ?

That's my guess although I haven't seen it from the water.
Anne and Peter often take the Halberg Rassy owners in there for a stop over.

Definitely. Had a bag of chips on the jetty there last year. Big white building is a pub.

Whoops! blush yes spot on. We did spend a few days on the Dart then here via Salcombe and at the beginning of an eleven year cruising adventure.

Reminds me of the previous year in Moody 35 entering Salcombe early one morning on radar from a foggy sea. Just turned back because of vis have you? shouted a passing yachtsmen heading out.
No we've overnighted from the IOW we replied innocent
