Wonderful thread drift, something that is at the heart of Talk Morgan!!
I hit a deer once in my old Mercedes 190, it ran off and I lost a headlight and an expensive wing mirror....

We did the same Peter on the Amersham bypass in our Golf at night. One hell of a bang as it ran down a steep embankment into the road & was invisible till a second or so before we hit it. The boss was driving and was very upset. It ran off so we informed the local plod but it must have died eventually for the injuries.

ok guys thanks for the BBC wildlife series answers all very good but i need you to focus now, perhaps i should have been more specific, i need to remove the cowl to get at the pipe connecting the expansion tank to the top of the radiator as the pipe connection has failed. If i cant repair it then the new radiator becomes a necessity
thank you Steve, to get you back on track I've put in a link to an old thread from 2019. You were involved in that thread back then so I guess you're getting round to the job now. Trad Cowl Removal

I would just like to say a big thank you to Simon at Si fab, he has basically talked me through the radiator removal from A-Z, absolutely brilliant guy and a pleasure to deal with

I can agree with you regards SIFAB all round brilliant guy who knows his stuff and top of his game...

Ive fitted a SIFAB rad and it looks great...make sure youve got the wriggle room when mounted and that the rubber mountings fit correctly and not compressed, particulary mount the top rubber mount flat to rad mount and tie bar... ![[Linked Image]](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50935391252_546084f032_o.jpg) DSC_0305 by Robert & Ali Davies, on Flickr
