Yes you are up with the play Ivormog, if Ineos wins tomorrow both teams can agree not to race on Sunday but if Prada win both then on countback they win.
They have just canned the most interesting course off home here because the sailors didnt like waves or getting wet ! They should really be made to sail in what there is out there but of course this is the AC not real yachting, and some of the crew very precious. Plus the organisers are worried about losing more competitors
Re going back to 12M oh no those slow old dogs were really painfully slow, however a modern yacht of the same length would be superb to watch like a big TP52 .
The current foilers have surprised us with multiple lead changes just on one windward leg, though there is not a lot else about them that is relatable and look how terribly thin the field is ....Without every teams billionaire backers (including us) none would be there.

It ever was thus. The AC has always been a pissing contest between the super-rich.

Two more great performances from Sir Ben and his crew today, to fire Team Ineos into the Prada cup final.

Ainsley is such a legend.

That was an amazing race to win for Ineos Britannia.

To do that with the problem they had pre-start and having to sail with a fixed cunningham shows how fast that boat can be and how "together" the crew are as a unit.

Don't want to spoil it for those who are going to watch it later other than to say that anyone who thinks AC75 racing is boring may need to re-assess their boredom threshold.

Could this be the year the Cup comes home ???? uk

Although remember, this is only the challenger series. We still don't know what the Kiwi's have got up their sleeve.

I agree, that last race was exeptional. Congratulations to the Brit team, they did a fine job. But it was also exeptional in another way: it was a rare exeption to the usual boredom of the AC races. I do not find races that ends up with the leader 500 - 600 m ahead of the opponent half way in the race very exiting. It all began with the catamarans four and eight years ago, now it is quite absurd. I admit these boats are fascinating machines, but as for match racing, it is mostly a parody. The Ineos - Luna Rossa race was interesting though because it was a real competition all the way. But I fear it will remain an exeption, and that most of the rest of AC will be an endless drag race.I hope I am wrong.

What a difference now. We used to sail Victoria of Duxbury, a 72' Herreshoff design, that was used I think in the 77 AC as one of the yachts for judges or marshalls because she could maintain 10knots, and keep up with the race pace ! Great to see Ineos getting off to a great start.

Big night (day in NZ) coming up for Sir Ben and the Ineos Britannia team.

It's the opening 2 races in the best of 13 Prada Cup Final, the winner of which gets to take on Team NZ in the Americas Cup.

Even though they whitewashed the Italian Luna Rossa team in the round robins I think is going to be tight and I'd like to wish them the best of luck and many favourable wind shifts.

I know some of you don't particularly like the AC75s but (with apologies to our Italian friends) let's give Sir Ben and the Team a cheer.

Just about to head out on the course , as the seagull flies very close to home, but we are on a rather large launch equipped with big screens and fridges, the weather is perfect though light breeze so will take togs for between the races. I will be cheering for Ben today.

2 nil down. Not quite the start we were looking for. Fingers crossed for a fightback.

Yes give Jimmy Spithill a sniff of the lead and he is accurate and fast, they were an impressive outfit yesterday, more breeze today so hopefully Ineos can come back and make a contest of it. Course announcement soon.
