The bus museum inside Brooklands is also worth a visit, especially the film on how London Transport did major overhauls of route masters

An awesome font of knowledge and information! Truly a great TM thread drift and no mention of fish!
Ray, I don’t remember the Pwll trolleybuses as I am still a spring chicken! Eynons buses were my transport back then. A family owned local service based in Trimsaran Second hand buses ( double deckers) that they left the original bus company signage inside. I remember Plymouth, London buses. They all developed dents in the nearside upper corner from overhanging branches in Stradey woods! Occasional trimming was done using an open top double decker and saws/loppers. They also did a parcel delivery service. Paid a “fare” and recipients would meet the bus to collect. If you were a regular commuter they would wait an extra couple of minutes if you were late.

I must admit I hadn't even considered the French Crit'Air legislation.

My V5C does not specify any standard for emissions, does it pre-date Euro 3 I wonder?

These are the areas you currently need a Crit’Air for, easy enough to get one: https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/en/

Thanks Mike

I plugged my +8s details into the simulation on their website and got a Cat 3 or orange classification. Not sure if that is restricting or not , but nice to know that the system is easy and quick to use

It’s reminded me I need to replace mine now my car is on French plates...
