I would also recommend googling the US Mustang V6 scene before making a decision. It is often reported that a tune was ok to good, but the rev hang issue was still present, if maybe a bit less. First I would test drive the car as is. Some roadster owners report that their car has no problems with rev hang, but who knows how little sporty driving these people do.
What I would personally avoid: an expensive work around. For example, I would not change the flywheel because it is just fiddling with symptoms.

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/best-tune-to-get-rid-of-rev-hang.25309/

Here above is just one example of a discussion, reading the 5 pages I would recommend just to show that it is not that simple!
It's not that you can select any tuning and think everything is ok now. The thread is 6 years old. Maybe by now there is much more experience on the subject.

Yes ouch. I have no idea why having fixed the issue they didn't make it standard. I understood the flywheel change on your car helps.

John, two things about that, as I just wrote, I would not doctor on symptoms. The flywheel has nothing to do with it causally. You can do that when everything else is finally ok.
Mustang drivers with manual transmission and V6 have the same problems as seen in the example thread. There are many threads like this. It is an exhaust and residual fuel combustion problem. The engine is programmed that way. Apparently, the only way to get ahead is to use very drastic methods, with MMC replacing the entire engine control system as seen on your invoice.

What does Lambda sensors 4.8 mean on the invoice? Have bank 1 (upstream cat) left and right been replaced with wideband sensors?

MMC very likely did not make it standard because the emissions no longer meet the certification. Then, strictly speaking, the car is no longer TÜV/MOT capable. A manufacturer cannot afford that. But the dealers should be allowed to do it with the blessing of MMC.

As far as I'm concerned ECUs are the Devil's work 🙂

What I find surprising is that, if the issue is present on the car the motor was in originally, from one of the world's biggest motor companies .... and rev-hang to me suggests at least some safety/driveability concern .... how come, post Nader and Pinto, FoMoCo didn't definitively sort it? And we can piggy-back on that solution?

Tho I'm the first to admit my choice of a crossflow was dictated by my desire for a car without computers so am only peripherally knowledgeable about such things.

Bosch make different specs of Lambda Oxygen sensors. I've heard of 4.2 and 4.9. They are wideband sensors, normally only about £100 each.

Don't know if 4.8 is another spec.

I also notice a Lambda "conversation" at 35 quid. That'll teach you not to talk to technicians when they're hard at work.

That is good to know, John. Then MMC should be helpful for new requests.
