Another tyre thread!

My tyres are now 7.5 years old, so although they've only done 17k, I've decided to change them.

It's a Plus 4 with 16in wire rims fitted at build with Avon ZV5 205/75 R16 91W.

91W? Why? Seems a little bit over specced and/or optimistic to me!

Any consensus on what I should replace them with?

Thanks

I don't specifically know that tyre but I would have thought it would have a very large diameter having a 75 ratio on 16 inch wheels.

Are you sure that's the correct spec?

Doesn't need it, V or even H would be fine but I'm sure there will be a lot of recommendations coming along shortly

Being the ever careful chap I am, you need to inform your insurance company if you put a lower speed rating tyres on. I know it sounds daft, but if the factory put 168 mph W rated tyres on, they may load your insurance for a lower rating !!!!! It's what they call a modification ?

Probably just the speed rating that particular size comes in. Same size ZV7's on my car have same rating. There is a V rated variant in that size but its also the extra load (XL) version.

Had ZT7 on the MINI Ray. They're OK.Have Vredestein Ttrac (superseded by Ttrac2 now) on the 4/4.
