I had a mild try and buying this one from Sytner's but they weren't particularly interested in the part ex. Apparently it was traded in against a Porsche. I definitely will not bother troubling Hartley's.

Yep this was leaked by a US dealer about a month ago on here.. they also mentioned a Rally CX +4...

The original email mentioned 250k but not sure if that was $ or £..

Expect a Class A or B racing +8 might be more fun for considerably less money..

When Dennis had his little leak the Morgan Motor Company were all over this site watching like a hawk to see what he had leaked laugh2 made I laugh wink they got a bit of a twitchy sphincter...

He posted on Facebook as well to ensure far greater coverage and he certainly got a scoop.. in the process more publicity than MMC could have imagined or hoped for, Dennis is a very well known and respected Morgan Dealer and enthusiast Stateside.

So do you get an engine that's been stood in dusty conditions without ancillaries connected for the last 3 years confused2

They will be "low mileage" for sure and all that brings with it.....
I'd rather have settled for a pair of Bristol's myself.. perhaps the gtr stands for great time recommissioning.. hide

Perhaps MMC had first call with the receivers was my first thought.

ha ha. To be fair they were lining the walls of the factory prior to being put in the cars for a good bit before that as well! I thought they bought a special/final run of the 4.8 from BMW a good while ago. They would have been stored without liquids and correctly at a guess so less harm.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Be interesting to see what engine power they end up with, as MMC states "the exact power output for the GTR is yet to be decided". Not sure there is much more room under the bonnet to improve the suck and blow, so a tickle of the ECU perhaps?

May well be an ecu tweak to get under the latest regs for one of the pollutants, not a power increase. The Golf R had a small power decrease a year or so ago to get within the latest regs.

I expect the old BMW v8 would fail the current new car emission regs but I expect there is an exemption as only 9 cars. Would the build date be for the original chassis ie 2016 or so or would it be a 2021 car.. I expect you could argue 2016 as it was a driving rolling chassis which would of been sold to Bristol..

Morgans are fair weather toys - what do you need an hard top for?

If I tooled around in that I would have to dress for it
