Me thinks Rodders might have been better off with a dress!

Oh I don't know there is value in being eunuch I think I spelt that right...

Whilst I’m sure they have all been accounted for... so my buying habits won’t matter - I do wonder if under the exterior pimp up is more than skin deep.... and an ECU flash doesn’t count. If it’s a GTR it will take more than that to impress. I do hope it has what it takes!!!

I was at the factory last week for a meeting.....

Bonnet might need an adjustment here and there but it would be great if MMC squeeze in a N62 E-Charger G1 based supercharger system giving an extra 130-150 hp.

Looking at the ESS charger install - it would require a complete redesign of the mounting brackets and re-location to the lower right or left. I suppose it could replace the air-con unit location and take drive from an existing belt pulley that way.

I kind of hope they don’t take this route though.

So a good fantasy thread would be... if you were doing the GTR - how would you do it?

Any of the last generation V8's from the DTM series with a sequential box would do the trick for me running on ARAL of course...

You would have to have the huge slash exhausts exiting through the doors as per DTM to give you "that" sound as well

Well if we’re stuck with using the S5 Aero chassis, then it’s a bit floppy forward of the bulkhead

A sheer plate/undertray under the engine bay (Chris L did I have a clue what he was doing with the S1) and a tubular cruciform over the engine would help...
And a roll cage tying the front suspension inputs to the rear suspension would help tremendously and stop the whole feeling like two halves...

It doesn’t need more power
Some design detail taking weight out could save circa 50 kilos for negligible production cost

The wing vents in the sketches are leaning in the right direction, but there’s none in the rear arches to prevent drag there....


I’d want a better wiper motor than a 1950’s Land Rover so at least I could see where I was heading away from backwards in the wet....

More feel through the steering

And bin the standard exhaust manifolds and system- they’re completely strangling the engine....
